These one of a kind  round mixed media green sea turtle art have depth just like the ocean. Created in layers of resin, hand painted artwork and alcohol ink they have amazing dimension especially with the piece of black walnut wood it is created around. Through trial and error I have fine tuned the layering to make these turtles appear three dimensional like nothing you've ever seen! Most pieces have more than 10 layers of painting and resin involved. The process to create them is time consuming but worth it!
 
No two turtle pieces are alike and as they are made to order you can request certain customizations such as the pose of the turtle etc. Most are made using black walnut wood in the art. I hand choose the perfect piece of wood for your artwork based on what I feel works best for the flow of the art, has beautiful character and grain to compliment the turtle. 
 
These piecs are intended as a display art piece to sit or lean on a shelf or other flat surface. As the light shining through and around it really makes it come alive it would be doing it a disservice to hang it on a wall. Included with your turtle is a maple wood stand for displaying.
